Need something fixed that’s a bit techie? Well instead of chucking it, give us a go at fixing it. Sometimes it doens’t take much to get something working and I’ll soon let you know if we are wasting our time.
Once a friend was told by a shop that their computer was dead and that all their photos were gone. And, they had no backup. I told them to leave their computer with me and I had a look. After testing every component I discovered it was simply a dead power supply and EVERYTHING else in the machine was fine. Quite frankly, I was disgusted that the shop didn’t at least try the hard drive in another machine to retrieve my mates photos! Anyway, my mate had him machine going again with a simple power supply replacement, AND got all his photos. Needless to say, we also set him up with a backup system!
